- Married Mother | MatriArch
Married with Kids Blessings, blessings, blessings! We are all so very thankful for our family and the opportunity to build upon our family foundation and make a wonderful impact in the world. Building our family legacy takes time, effort, forgiveness, love, courage and strength. Village support from MatriArch is at your fingertips. So start building with other MatriArch Sisters today. Join to start building, Together. Your Village Self Self-care is a new concept in the black community and should be taken very seriously. Throughout African American history, women have taken care of everyone else and gracefully placed themselves in the background. It is high time we change the narrative and approach to being great mothers. Image a place where your mother, grandmother, aunt, cousin or friend had taken better care of themselves first. This is the world we should be creating for ourselves, our children and our families. Because selfcare is family care. Husband He is your Rock, your friend, your lover, your partner, your supporter and the person that knows just how to hug you, the way you need it, when you need it. You have found and decided to spend your life with a person that loves, respects and cherishes you as their wife. So, Let's talk about how we manage to give love with a gracious heart, open our mind to our husbands when he asks and have open communication that is beneficial to your relationship? Child(ren) Our children are a God given gift and a natural extension of our heart and soul. Helping them grow, learn, function indepently, follow God, nourish their mind body and spirit. Raising great soldiers of God and great citizens of our communities is key. Marinating them in our rich "Black History" is not only enlightening, but necessary to keep our eyes on the prize as a people. Join a village and support system that shares personal experiences, ideas and goals from the home front to the office and beyond. Let's get started as the MatriArchs we hope to be and lead our children fearlessly, as our MatriArchs did for us. Extended Family The Sunshine, smell of soul food, and cake after Church are truly great days spent with extended family and cousins. Those times are cherished as they are almost non-existent today. Managing extended family beyond Facebook (Meta) updates and pictures are a difficult feat for the Millennial MatriArch. So, how do we create and nurture the extension of family in today's economic society. Where a large majority of black professionals are relocating for opportunities. Managing family beyond calls, social media and Covid. Black Community Our history and our stories overtime must continue to be told. We are well aware that the history in schools is not "black" and wasn't intended to be. Even though we are not taught in our traditional schools, we must continue to share, learn, and dig into our roots. The untold stories are dying and must be preserved and told to help us understand where we have been and where we are going. So let's continue to build and preserve our foundation in order to move forward. The MatriArch Movement (Black Community) Carrying on traditions, teachings, and a movement of our people goes beyond our time. It is the MatriArch Movement and goal to build a thriving community one stepping stone at a time. Debt liberation, owning our own businesses, investing in other black businesses with time, money and effort, uplifting others in the community, instilling knowledge of our black history and the vision of possibilities ahead with our children. Reaching back with care, understanding and patience of our people is also required as the we grow. There may be obistles, but together we will thrive and make impacts years beyond our time as our ancestors did. Against all odds they believed in God and "us", their children carrying on a legacy, doing the unthinkable and providing everyday miracles as presidents, vice presidents, federal judges, senators, mayors, representatives are all representations of miracles unfolding for all the battles our ancestors may have lost. So, let us march! Not only in the streets, but with the opportunities we have in our individual lives. In meetings, in the grocery store, when we see injustice say something, in the doctor's office line of an elder black women being dismissed or mistreated due to her lack of communication. Helping with the small things add up to greater picture of changing the treatment of black people in America. So, let us stand together as MatriArch Sisters.

Village MatriArch Hello Queen. You are killin' it! You stand in where we cannot as mothers, take the extra shifts and manage to represent all of "us" at work. You are continuously changing the landscape for what is deemed a "single" woman. What is acceptable and what is not. Taking care of someone that is undeserving of my time and love? Out of the question. And you are wearing your single status proudly because you are investing in yourself and those around you that deserve it.
