I’m Black, and I'm Proud: March Onward

60 years, wow! It has been 60 years since the March on Washington, fighting for freedom and jobs. While the fight continues for equal rights and employment of higher titles, earnings, and rankings, we remain with targets on our backs for just the melanin of our skin. Thus, we are still marching, still fighting, still black, and still proud. Our people are resilient, strong, and relentless. When we come together, we make change and are a true reflection of the world we choose to live in. It is our counterparts who believe that they are superior and that we are a threat to them. Yet, it is our stores, churches, schools, and everyday interactions that are constantly threatened due to the color of our skin. Their lack of understanding of our culture, education, and understanding that we are at the very fabric and being of this country makes it great.
