About the Event

What do you do when you are at the stop light or driving by and you see someone in need, homeless, or hopeless? You give them a Blessing Bag through Stolen Lunches—a bag of hope, change, and help. When you witness the plight of those who are less fortunate, such as the homeless or those in dire need, what steps do you take? Through the initiative known as Stolen Lunches, you have the opportunity to provide them with a Blessing Bag. This bag is a symbol of hope, a source of change, and a gesture of assistance.

Imagine yourself driving down the road or waiting at a stoplight when you notice an individual who appears to be struggling. They may be homeless, their clothes torn, and their eyes filled with despair. In that moment, a choice presents itself: to remain indifferent or to extend a helping hand. It is in this junction of compassion and action that the Blessing Bag comes into play.

The Blessing Bag is a carefully curated collection of essential items designed to meet the immediate needs of those in need. It may contain basic necessities such as non-perishable food, water, and hygiene products. But more than just material goods, it carries a message of hope and human connection. Each bag is assembled with care and intention, symbolizing a commitment to helping those who have fallen on hard times.

By distributing Blessing Bags through Stolen Lunches, individuals are empowered to make a tangible difference in the lives of others. It is a simple yet profound act that can restore dignity, offer comfort, and ignite a spark of hope in those who have lost their way.

The impact of a Blessing Bag extends far beyond the immediate relief it provides. It serves as a reminder that there are still people who care, that kindness exists, and that even in the darkest of times, there is always light to be found. It is a small gesture that has the potential to create a ripple effect of compassion and understanding throughout the community. All volunteers pray over the bags before they are distributed.

So, the next time you encounter someone in need, consider offering them a Blessing Bag. It is a gift that not only provides practical assistance but also carries the weight of human compassion, reminding us that we are all connected and that, together, we can make a difference. Come and volunteer with MatriArch and assist the Stolen Lunches initiative to serve and provide for those in need!
